Understand your body.
Reclaim your agency.

Clinical, personalised nutrition care that looks at your hormones, metabolism, gut, and cognitive health as interconnected systems, not isolated symptoms.

For adults at any life stage, with particular interest in the hormonal, metabolic, and cognitive changes of perimenopause and menopause, and in nutrition support alongside GLP-1 medication. Telehealth consultations, Australia-wide.

I work with adults at any life stage, whether you’re a young adult building healthy habits or focused on healthy ageing, and I bring the same whole-system approach to every client. My main areas of focus are:

Perimenopause & menopause

Hot flushes, disrupted sleep, weight changes, and brain fog call for more than “eat less and move more”. I’ll look at how hormonal and metabolic changes are affecting you, and how nutrition can help.

GLP-1 medication support

GLP-1 medication lowers appetite, so getting enough protein and nutrients takes planning. Whether you’re starting, using, or coming off GLP-1s, I’ll look at how to protect your muscle mass, lower your risk of nutrient deficiencies, and manage gut side effects.

Gut health

Ongoing bloating, reflux, constipation, or diarrhoea can affect much more than digestion. I’ll look at how your diet, eating patterns, and stress may be contributing, and how your gut connects to your mood, energy, and hormones.

Cognitive health & healthy ageing

Memory, focus, mental clarity, and energy are affected by more than age. I’ll look at how your diet, gut, and metabolic health may be playing a part.

Don’t see your concern listed? You’re still welcome to book an Initial Consultation, or send me a question first.

Qualified

Know whose advice you’re taking

When you’re unsure whose advice to trust, qualifications matter. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition and I’m a Certified Practicing Nutritionist, accredited through AARPN.

Integrated

Make sense of what you’re feeling

It can be unsettling when you don’t feel like yourself. Together, we’ll look at your symptoms, how your hormones, metabolism, gut, and cognitive health may be connected, and what’s happening in your life.

Practical

A clear place to start

You don’t have to work out the next steps alone. I explain the reason for each recommendation and send a written summary and plan after your consultation, so you can come back to what we discussed.

Mind and body are deeply interconnected. Understand that connection, and you can reclaim agency over your health.
Mind · Body · Agency

Throughout the consultation process, Anna was attentive and thorough, and explained things to me in a way which I could easily understand. After any consult, the summary was clear and concise, with practical suggestions for diet and exercise that would be sustainable, which made my goals feel achievable.

Rebecca

Anna is a very supportive nutritionist who has helped me identify ways to improve my diet and health. She is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her clients. I would recommend her highly!

Madeleine

I found Anna to be polite and helpful — her knowledge was very broad and exact. As an older client, Anna was respectful and put me at ease with the more personal questions.

Meet Anna

I started this practice because too many people are told their symptoms are “just part of getting older”, or handed generic advice that doesn’t account for what’s actually happening in their body.

I’ve always been interested in how food and lifestyle shape health, and that led me to clinical nutrition. I’m now at the same stage of life as many of my clients, with three teenage daughters at home, so I understand the changes that come with it, and I know a plan has to fit around real life.

My role is to help you understand what’s happening in your body, so you can build agency over your health that lasts well beyond the consultation.

The philosophy behind the practice

Mind
The connection between your gut and brain, and how nutrition can support memory, focus, mood, sleep, and your response to stress.
Body
Your hormones, metabolism, gut, muscle, and bone, and how they change through each stage of life.
Agency
Helping you understand your body and make health decisions with confidence.

Before you book

Do I need a referral to see a Clinical Nutritionist?

No. You can book directly, no referral is required. If you’re already seeing a GP, specialist, or other practitioner, I’m happy to work alongside them as part of your care.

Is there anyone you don’t see?

I work with adults aged 18 and over, and don’t see children. If what you need is outside what I offer, I’ll let you know and, where I can, suggest who to see instead.

I don’t know exactly what’s wrong — can I still book?

Yes. You don’t need a diagnosis or a clear sense of what’s driving your symptoms before booking. Your first consultation is the place to talk it through and figure out, together, whether nutrition can help. If you have a question first, get in touch.

How quickly will I hear back?

I reply to enquiries within two business days. For anything urgent about your health, contact your GP, or call 000 in an emergency.

Your appointments

How do telehealth appointments work?

All consultations are by telehealth, Australia-wide. You’ll need a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet, private place to talk. Your appointment link is emailed when you book. If you have recent blood tests or other results, please email them to me before your appointment, so I can review them first and we can make the most of our time.

How many consultations will I need?

It depends on your goals and the level of support you want. Some clients need just a few sessions; others prefer ongoing support as they work toward longer-term goals. We’ll agree on a follow-up plan together.

What does my personalised plan actually look like?

Following each consultation, you’ll receive a personalised plan tailored to your goals, covering dietary, lifestyle, and, where relevant, supplement or nutraceutical recommendations. Depending on what you need, that might mean meal ideas, recipes, food swaps, portion guidance, protein or fibre targets, or a structured meal plan (at an additional cost). Restrictive dieting isn’t the default; the goal is an approach that’s sustainable for your life.

Do you recommend supplements?

Only where there’s a clear nutritional or clinical rationale, based on your diet, symptoms, pathology, medications, and existing supplements. I take a food-first approach, so supplements aren’t automatically part of every consultation. Where they are appropriate, any recommended supplements or nutraceuticals are priced separately from your consultation fee. You’re welcome to purchase them through an online dispensary, or at your discretion from your local chemist or health food store.

Am I eligible for a rebate?

Private health rebates may be available for eligible clients, depending on your individual health fund and Extras policy. Cover for Clinical Nutrition services varies between funds and policies, so check directly with your insurer to confirm what your cover includes.

About clinical nutrition

What does a Clinical Nutritionist do?

A Clinical Nutritionist is trained to assess how diet and lifestyle affect health. I review what you eat, along with your health history, symptoms, and any test results, then recommend practical changes that fit into everyday life.

What does “Certified Practicing Nutritionist” actually mean, and why does it matter?

“Nutritionist” isn’t a legally protected title in Australia, meaning anyone can use it, regardless of training. “Certified Practicing Nutritionist” is different. It means I’ve completed a relevant degree (Bachelor of Health Science, Clinical Nutrition), documented my clinical practicum hours, and continue to comply with the AARPN Code of Conduct. AARPN can confirm my certification on request. It’s a way you can tell the difference between a qualified practitioner and someone who’s simply adopted the title.

Is a Clinical Nutritionist the same as a Dietitian?

No. Clinical Nutritionists and Accredited Practising Dietitians are different professions with different training and scope. My focus is personalised, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle strategy for hormonal, metabolic, gut, and cognitive health. I don’t provide hospital-based or Medicare-rebated dietetic care plans.

Does nutrition replace medical treatment?

No. Nutrition complements medical care rather than replacing it. Your GP or specialist remains responsible for diagnosis and medication management.
